Westweek Recap

This is my long overdue recap of Westweek. I had a wonderful time and met some amazing people. All of the panels this year were very informative and the parties weren’t too bad themselves. My favorite presentation was by the lovely people at Jim Thompson. There is something about holding a silk worm cocoon in your hand that leaves a lasting impression. I will never take silk for granted again. The pictures below are my running dairy of the two day event…Happy Hump Day Everyone!

P.S. Did I mention that tomorrow is my birthday?

This is the silk worm cocoon I mentioned. There is a baked worm inside that rattles around when you shake it {true story}.

This is at a Hipswap event for John Robshaw to celebrate his new collection for Duralee. Always fun to see designers playing around with pink mustaches.

At the business of design event hosted by Kravet and LeeJofa. Finally picked up this wonderful book {the business of design} written by Keith Granet. It’s a must have for all designers.

The Rock Stars of design panel hosted by California Home+Design.

Meeting David Bromstad was definitely one of the week’s highlights.
Me at the House Beautiful event falling out of my wedges because I finally got to meet one of my idols, Charlotte Moss.

Richard and I striking a pose in front of the PDC getting ready for a night out.

Me and two of my favorite gentlemen in the design world Christian May and Richard Morales at the Restoration Hardware party.

Another highlight of the week was finally meeting Jill Seidner of the Material Girls blog. We have been social media buddies for some time now so it was great to finally meet her in the 3D world.

There you have it, my Westweek photo diary. I have a few more picture that you can check out on our twitter or facebook page.
