Sunday Stripes

I had a very long day today but I just had to show you guys how the striped dining room is going. It took a lot of work but I love how it looks. Day one was spent priming the red walls and putting on the base coat (Aged Beige from Behr). Most of today was spent preparing the walls for the stripes. This process took about four hours for a 12x12 room. Once the taping was done all we had left to do was paint the brown stripes (Cinnamon Spice from Glidden). Here is a great link if you plan on doing stripes in your home. I can’t wait till Tuesday to pull off all the tape and see the final product...Happy Decorating Everyone!

Oh wow, this will look very dramatic indeed! I'd love to have a go at some stripes at my place, I think they add a real element of elegance and sophistication to a room. Can't wait to see the finished product!!

I'm really into chevron stripes right now and was thinking about painting them on an accent wall using flat Navy blue paint with the stripes in high gloss for a subtle almost fabric like pattern.
