I love window seating in a small space. If you build seats into window bays or alcoves you'll gain extra seating that will not invade your main living area. You also gain extra storage at the bottom of the built in...Happy Decorating!

i've had that second picture in my inspiration folder forever haha. my dream is to one day have a round bay window like that, which won't be too hard, considering i live in san francisco.
Tricia, I dream of having a bay window myself one day. I want mine in the kitchen so I have a place to cry when I burn Thanksgiving dinner.
P.S. I'm beyond jealous you live in San Fran...I love it there.
