Sometimes you have to move back so you can move forward. When Pantone announced that Honeysuckle was its 2011 color of the year one of the things that popped into my head was the textile “Honeysuckle” designed by May Morris the daughter of artist and designer William Morris in 1883. The Arts and Crafts movement in America is one of my favorite eras in design history. To me, this is the era that created the box that everyone could think outside of. Do you think Pantone thought of this history when they chose Honeysuckle as the color the year?...Happy Coloring Everyone!

Such a lovely pattern. I adore all of the William Morris designs - but I had forgotten about this one. Clever girl for remembering it! I love the new honeysuckle colour - I have become obsessed with it lately.
pretty! i do however think its a bit strange that pantone refers "honeysuckle" as a pink, when many think of it as a yellow. right? LOL!
Happy holidays!
