Before And After: Louis Chairs

Finally the Louis Chair redo is over. It took a lot to get them done but it was well worth it. I think they turned out beautifully and look great against the gray stripes. I don't really have any tips for this redo, just the obligatory "measure twice cut once". Steps include sanding, priming, paint, and then reupholster. Let me know if you have any questions...Happy Redecorating!

Special thanks to my hubby and sister for all their hard work...Thanks Guys!

I used Gray Primer because it picks up dark paint better

Painted it black...Two Coats

Measured and cut my fabric
Stapled my fabric
Cut Fabric then added the piping/trim
All Done!

Wow! These turned out great! I don't think I would have had the patience to do the piping, but it looks sooo good on your chair! Love the fabric/black paint choice too!

@Hallie- Here is a great read on how to do Piping. I reused the cords from the chair so that made measuring easy.

Beautiful job! Double piping is not hard especially if you have the attachment foot for it. May I ask how you secured the piping to the chair? What kind of glue? What size of staples. Gorgeous!

@pillowthrowdecor Thanks! I used my hot glue gun to glue the piping and 6mm staples to staple the fabric.
