I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. I'll be back next week with more great post and a few updates to the Shoebox Decor Etsy store. As you can tell by the above picture I'm still loving green walls. I'm trying really hard to get hubby on board the green train but it's a no go so far. After what seemed like a decade, I do believe I finally have a website that won’t make me lose sleep at night. I’m not going to go into the details of what it took to get the site looking this way but I will say there were a lot of road blocks seeing as how I’m not a web designer. If you do not have an existing hosting company and you are looking to design a website yourself, then I do recommend using IM Creator. Great and simple place to design a website but you have to host it with them. Even with all the road blocks I’m still super excited about how the site turned out. I love the fact that it’s easy to navigate and pull information from. I hope you guys like it as much as I do! Happy Designing Everyone!

I'm so excited the weekend is here. For some strange reason this week seemed to go by really slow for me. Yesterday sped up a bit and I was happy to attend a wonderful event hosted by HipSwap and Flor. Some amazing LA designers, Jordan Cappella, Kelly Edwards, Henry Road, Turquoise and Woodson and Rummerfield's displayed vignettes of items that will be available on HipSwap. I'm still new to the HipSwap thing but for those of you who have no clue what it is, I like to think of it as an upscale craigslist. They even have delivery in select LA areas.

As most of my close friends will tell you, I like to drink. I also like to give wine and alcoholic beverages as hostess gifts. I believe it's a great way to say "I know how hard it was to plan this get together, now sit down and have a drink. You deserve it". Re-covering a lamp shade is not as easy as you may think. If I didn't find this amazing video I do believe I would still be lost. I re-covered these lamp shades for the teen project with my Fletcher fabric and I think they turned out great. If you have any questions about my experience feel free to ask.
